The sculpture displayed on the plinth in the Kitchen Garden has been made by a member of the Oxford Sculptors Group. The sculptures are displayed in rotation, with each piece on display for a period of two months before being replaced. Each sculpture is for sale. Winter Exhibition at Conways Gallery Oxford
Three members of the Oxford Sculptors Group, Andrew Binnie, Henrietta Bud and Nigel Williams will be taking part in a winter exhibition at the new “Conways Gallery” in Central Oxford, situated at 44-46 George Street, Oxford OX1 2AQ (around the corner from the Bus Station and Gloucester Green). OSG Sculpture on the Plinth at Greys Court
The management at Greys Court have asked OSG to provide a series of sculptures to be displayed one at a time on the vacant brick plinth in their Kitchen Garden. The intention is have work on display continuously, with each sculpture being in place for 2 months before being replaced. All displayed work is to be for sale and the commission on sold work is just 7.5%. This rotating display on the brick plinth is separate to the sculpture exhibition that OSG will be running in Ju

Commission paid to National Trust from Greys Court Exhibition
At our AGM, held just before Christmas I highlighted the proposed changes in the commission being applied by the National Trust at Greys Court. The National Trust (NT) had decided to both raise their commission from 15% to 20% and to apply VAT. When combined with the 7.5% commission that OSG applies to meet our operating costs we were being faced with an overall rate of 31.5%. Sculpture commission from Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford
Hospital to commission a sculpture made from old orthopaedic implants Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford has contacted OSG to see if there is a sculptor interested in taking on a commission for them. The sculpture is in memory of a colleague who died recently. It is to be made from old orthopaedic implants (e.g. hip and knee replacements, metal plates and screws etc) and will go in the foyer of the hospital.
