Oxford Sculptors Group raise £26,000 for The National Trust.

Oxford Sculptors Group exhibition at Greys Court, near Henley-on-Thames has now raised a total of £26,000 for this National Trust property.

OSG have been holding a sculpture exhibition at Greys Court since 2017 and the exhibition has become a yearly highlight both for the sculptors and for Greys Court and its visitors.

The exhibition typically runs for five weeks during June and July and includes 150 or more sculptures, covering diverse subjects in various media, from numerous members of the Group.

Fifteen percent of all the sales from the exhibitions have been donated by the Group to Greys Court. The funds go towards the maintenance of this historic mansion and its gardens and grounds. Over the six years that the exhibition has been held, sculptures sales have totalled £182,000 and £26,000 of this has been donated. This year’s donation from the OSG exhibition was £4,182.

In recognition of the significant amounts that OSG have donated to Greys Court, this year’s cheque was handed over in person by OSG’s chairman Keith Appleby to the general manger at Greys Court. The handover was covered in the local Henley Standard newspaper.
