The Beautiful Blue waterside arts and ecology project

Here is some information about a new arts and ecology project about to get underway in the Henley area. The project curator, Vickie Amiralis is in the process of joining OSG. Here is her summary of the project:

The Beautiful Blue is a waterside arts and ecology project along a Chiltern Chalk stream and the River Thames. Uniting artists, charities and local community groups to celebrate the water bodies of the world and raise awareness of river pollution. We'll be launching the project at the River & Rowing Museum with an exhibition running from May 24th - June 16th 2024. Then activating multiple installations along the route between Hambleden and Henley throughout the following year. An exhibition will be hosted again at the museum in May 2025 with The Beautiful Blue installation trail set up along the 4 mile route of public footpath.

We also have access to the River Room at the museum to host events with availability on 25 and 26 May in case there are artists interested in hosting a workshop.

The Beautiful Blue hopes to showcase work from a diverse group of artists who are dedicated to themes of ecology and sociology. Including land artists, sculptors, natural fibre artists and those specialising in social and multi disciplinary practices.
