Shinfield Parish Council Unveils Exciting Public Art Project to Celebrate Vibrant New Village Centre
Shinfield, Berkshire – August 2025 — Shinfield Parish Council, together with Arts4Wokingham, is thrilled to announce the launch of a new public art project to commission a new sculpture that will serve as the final piece in the development of Shinfield’s new village centre.
This exciting competition is now open and warmly invites artists from all corners of the UK and beyond to submit their visionary proposals for a permanent public artwork. The chosen piece will not only reflect Shinfield’s unique identity and spirit but will also become a lasting symbol of community pride and togetherness. The unveiling of the winning design is set for May 2027—a date that promises to be a true celebration for everyone in Shinfield.
