Peter Murphy was born and brought up in Stratford upon Avon. He currently works out of a studio converted from an old cowshed near Shipston on Stour.

Peter trained as a blacksmith and continues to work in his preferred medium of forged steel, using both traditional and modern methods. Taking his influences from nature and anatomy his work captures the natural beauty and movement of the wildlife he takes his inspiration from. He has worked on a number of commissions for both garden and interior sculptures.
