I studied sculpture with David Howorth in Bridgnorth, Shropshire, for over 2 years, after retiring from a 32-year career in engineering design and manufacture. I have studied wax modelling and also moulding and casting at West Dean College.
My latest work is in stainless steel (also Bronze) and explores the essential elements of plant forms.
All this work is of a welded construction and is designed for external display within the garden environment, or as indoor arrangements.
Additionally I have studied jewellery design and manufacture at the Birmingham School of Jewellery, for 3 years. I am now focusing on silver pieces predominantly with an Arts & Crafts theme.
Working across these disciplines and incorporating engineering is very stimulating and encourages cross-fertilization of ideas.
