Daniel trained at the Falmouth College of Arts, Cornwall where he was fortunate to be immersed in arts that ranged not only from the two dimensional, graphics, illustration, photography etc. But also the rich and diverse world of three dimensions, sculpture, ceramics and of course Cornwall’s long standing cultural heritage for creativity.
On completion of his degree, Daniel had a very successful career as a graphic designer. Working with blue chip clients globally he went on to specialise in print and print management for the point of sale industry.
For as long as he can remember his passion for the physical, three dimensional design has always been a part of him. Eventually bringing him back to his roots and his present day success working as a sculptor based in Nottingham.
Working predominately in wood, his work also extends to stone, ceramics and metal.
Drawing inspiration from a multitude of sources his love of nature with its rich array of form and geometric pattern is prominent in his work today.
