Yannick Perichon

The plastic shards that sweep our coastlines, a porcelain doll that once comforted an unsettled child, the marble foot of a fallen giant. Each object – small and large – practical and futile – graceful and unsightly – tells a story; a story of such disparate origins from one another and yet converge into a unified, homologous existence. It is these objects that compose the symphony of our being. Through my creative endeavours, I embrace the temporal virtues of an object by way of distilling its aesthetic elements and projecting a holistic illustration of its past.
