Nick Collins

Nick Collins has a background in model design and studied at Amersham & Wycombe Art College and Hertfordshire University.  He spent the early part of his career designing and making attractions for Legoland Windsor UK and Legoland San Diego USA. He followed that by working in the film and television effects industry.  He now concentrates on his sculpture work, moulding and casting most of his own pieces as well as sculptures for other artists.

Nicks main focus of interest and creativity is animals, military and mythology, but he is not bound by these subjects and likes to explore other subject matter.

His animal sculptures include many commissions for portraits including the late Queen Mothers racehorse Kings Rhapsody which was auctioned off for charity.

When it comes to sculpture for the garden Nick likes to delve more into the world of mythology and fantasy. He designs pieces that compliments a garden adding both a focal and talking point to the surroundings.

Nick has exhibited widely in the south of England including Savill Gardens in Berks. Claydon House Gardens in Bucks.  North Wall Gallery, Woodstock Museum in Oxon.  Polesdon Lacey, Vivartis Art festival and R.H.S Wisley in Surrey.  Borde Hill Gardens in West Sussex.

Nick is always looking for sculptural inspiration and commissions are welcome.
