Lilly Henry

Throughout her life Lilly has enjoyed venturing into the creative realms of perfume/herbal remedies, jewellery, stained glass, painting and driftwood mirrors.

Lilly has been pursuing her artistic abilities working in a range of sculptural mediums including cement fondue, wire, recycled metals, clay, natural windfalls and flint stones, creating a variety of large and small sculptures.  ‘I have always collected interesting pieces that I happen upon whilst walking by the sea, in woodlands, or the countryside that surrounds me’. ‘This has helped me to discover and develop an instinctive natural ability to create sculptural forms that come from within, playing with various mediums and natural found objects that have motivated and inspired me’.

Lilly has been working closely with an established artist, who has guided and mentored her in the art of carving. This has given Lilly the knowledge and freedom to recreate her smaller maquettes and found objects into large sculptural forms.

‘The carved sculptural forms that I create are the start of a process to leading to cast bronze resin and cast bronze sculpture’.
